Miss Olson

MadMen was what inspired me to become a Graphic Designer in the first place. I’ve always been obsessed with the 1960s, but MadMen had such brilliant writing, complex and nuanced characters, and granular attention to detail that it took my breath away. It inspired my love of copywriting, marketing, and advertising, and was what inspired me to pursue Graphic Design as a career.
This illustration is of Peggy Olson, the show’s secret protagonist, a secretary who works her way up, breaking the glass ceiling and forging a new path through the 1960s that was all her own.
