In 2023, to challenge myself, I decided to individually Illustrate each of the Disney Princesses in chronological order.
This piece is one from that series, and I have the full series uploaded to my Instagram.

For this piece I knew I had to capture the warm glow of the thousands of lanterns from that sequence, and the beautiful cascade of colors on the water. I was really inspired by the 2017 animated television show in terms of translating Rapunzel to 2d, and you can see that design influence in the way I drew her face and the shape of her hair.
